Beautifully hand sculpted pottery made in Brazil by the talented Selma Calheira. Cores da Terra, Colors of the Earth, was founded in the fifties at the age of 38. She trains the local town Bahia to work as professional ceramists. 

in 1996, Calheira was awarded the prize Gente que Faz for her work with economically disadvantaged people in one of the poorest areas in Brazil. Selma Calheira’s hair is work as playful yet sophisticated. Her designs are made of organic resources, such as clay and natural pigments.
